{"id":83,"date":"2005-08-16T06:43:00","date_gmt":"2005-08-16T11:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.travway.net\/?p=83"},"modified":"2005-08-16T06:43:00","modified_gmt":"2005-08-16T11:43:00","slug":"from-the-random-memories-dept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travway.net\/index.php\/2005\/08\/16\/from-the-random-memories-dept\/","title":{"rendered":"From the Random Memories Dept"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once again it is time to uncover random memories in less than a paragraph:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I remember in third grade, a new kid came and remained a good friend through high school. I remember distinctly two things he said. The first was when he found out that he was going to need glasses. He said, &#8220;Travis, you may not like me anymore because I have to get glasses.&#8221; Another thing he said sometime after that was that he had a club house with the &#8216;Ghostbusters 2&#8217; logo on the club house. Needless to say I later found out that both statements were false.<\/li>\n<li>When I was working at Fisher, my co-intern and I worked on a new internal web site for Fisher Service Company, as well as do other random stuff. I remember we had a wonderful time making elaborate scenario&#8217;s including a few co-workers that spent more time talking than, working.<\/li>\n<li>In middle school, I can remember playing basketball for school. This was not a particularly fun thing to do as with all sports I did not have a name, so I could not get any better. My vice was free-throws, with a percentage of 8%. I managed to get fouled when we were playing Gilbert. The coach rolled his eyes when he saw I got two shots. He was in disbelief when I made both of them, Thank you God!!!<\/li>\n<li>While I was working at the hospital in Marshalltown, I remember while doing some Saturday work, I accidentally found out what is inside of the squishy wrist rests and stress balls. Yuck.<\/li>\n<li>I can remember in fifth grade I received a valentine card on our Valentine&#8217;s Day party from a girl (who shall remain nameless) that was a Barbie valentine that said &#8220;I like you lots!&#8221; In pen next to that she wrote &#8220;Not!!!&#8221; At least she was honest, but I think I would have appreciated no card at that age verses what I did get.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once again it is time to uncover random memories in less than a paragraph: I remember in third grade, a new kid came and remained a good friend through high school.
