{"id":513,"date":"2013-01-15T18:01:08","date_gmt":"2013-01-16T00:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.travway.net\/?p=513"},"modified":"2013-01-15T18:01:08","modified_gmt":"2013-01-16T00:01:08","slug":"letter-to-1st-financial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travway.net\/index.php\/2013\/01\/15\/letter-to-1st-financial\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter to 1st Financial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Editors note: \u00a0I originally wrote this after I was pretty angry at a credit card company. \u00a0I was much younger and dumber at the time. \u00a0I corrected the\u00a0grammatical\u00a0and spelling errors I found.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To whom it may concern:<\/p>\n<p>Today (May 30: Memorial Day) I received a call from a service representative about my past due account.\u00a0 When I spoke with the rep he was nice and handled my situation professionally.\u00a0 But my complaint is not with the rep.<\/p>\n<p>My complaint rather is with the procedures of calling clients\/customers on a National Holiday or on a weekend for that matter.\u00a0 I can appreciate the fact that 1<sup style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">st<\/sup> Financial Bank is concerned about my credit status and that they want to give me a friendly reminder if I miss a payment, however it would be more appreciated if it was a working business day (mon-fri).<\/p>\n<p>I felt bad about the way I treated 1<sup style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">st<\/sup> Financial Bank\u2019s rep because I was initially upset with the phone call from a creditor on a National Holiday.\u00a0 I acknowledged to the rep that I was not upset with them; however I was upset with the procedure this was handled in.\u00a0 I am also concerned that the employee\u2019s of 1<sup style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">st<\/sup> Financial Bank are being short changed of a holiday that should be observed.<\/p>\n<p>Yes this phone call could have been avoided if I would have made my payment on time, but because of the procedures and the fact that I mailed a payment to 1<sup style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">st<\/sup> Financial on Friday, I now have to pay a fee to stop the check, as well as a \u201cconvenience\u201d fee of nine dollars to pay my account on the phone or over the internet.<\/p>\n<p>I am sure that this will not change things however I wanted it brought to the attention of those responsible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n<p>Travis Blubaugh<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Editors note: \u00a0I originally wrote this after I was pretty angry at a credit card company. \u00a0I was much younger and dumber at the time. \u00a0I corrected the\u00a0grammatical\u00a0and spelling errors I found.
