Since this did not post, and I am doing it a bit late, I am altering a few. For fun lets look at these predictions I put for 2017<\/a> and see what did and did not happen.<\/p>\n

Strike through means wrong<\/del>.  Bold means nailed it. <\/strong>Underlined means jury is still out.<\/span><\/p>\n

So now were are my predictions for 2017!<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. We sell our house, buy a house, and move.<\/del>\n
      \n
    1. With the opening of an office closer to where we live, it became clear that this was the path I should take.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. The Iowa Hawkeyes have less than a .500 record and do not go to a bowl. Kirk Ferentz retires.<\/del>\n
        \n
      1. Not only did the Hawkeyes have a winning record, they actually won a bowl game for the first time in a long time!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      2. The Iowa State Cyclones have a losing record and Matt Campbell exit<\/del>\n
          \n
        1. Iowa state improved and made it to a bowl game and won by 1 point!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        2. Cubs make it to the NLCS but fall short.<\/strong>\n
            \n
          1. Nailed it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          2. The Bengals improve but still miss the playoffs.<\/strong>\n
              \n
            1. Nailed it, kinda.  In 2016 they were 6-9-1, this past year they were 7-9. So yea.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
            2. Target backtracks on its bathroom non-sense.<\/del>\n
                \n
              1. Technically the Jury is still out on this one, but who knows.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                And now, my personal goals.<\/p>\n

                1. Attempt to lose weight (again…).\n
                    \n
                  1. Walk\/Ride more with kids when possible, especially when weather is nice.\n
                      \n
                    1. Partial success, I got to the point where I was walking about 2 miles a day.  However the hernia kinda killed this.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                    2. Attempt to eat better and less.\n
                        \n
                      1. Fail<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                      2. Destroy Debt.\n
                          \n
                        1. Remainder of Tress Student Loan.\n
                            \n
                          1. Almost but fail<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                          2. Fusion Loan\n
                              \n
                            1. Ha ha Fail<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                            2. Last credit card.\n
                                \n
                              1. Fail<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                              2. Try to have a night out with Tress each month.\n
                                  \n
                                1. I did good till about March, fail.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                2. Take the kids in the canoe.\n
                                    \n
                                  1. Was going to but hernia.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                  2. Take a river trip with Tress.\n
                                      \n
                                    1. Time and the hernia killed this.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                      So now here are my predictions for 2018!<\/p>\n

                                        \n
                                      1. Vanessa (the Van) dies and we are forced to replace it.<\/li>\n
                                      2. The Cincinnati Reds return to greatness and are in the playoffs.<\/li>\n
                                      3. The Iowa State Cyclones finish in the top four of the big 12 (football).<\/li>\n
                                      4. The Iowa Hawkeyes return to the Orange Bowl and win.<\/li>\n
                                      5. The Bengals make the playoffs, but exit on first game.<\/li>\n
                                      6. The US House and Senate stay in Republican hands (although seats will be lost).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                        And now, my personal goals.<\/p>\n
