In regards to the Tsunami, with the disease my previous statement of 25,000 was a bit “conservative”. Now there saying we could see six digit death tolls if the disease controls are not put into place. I urge those who have not helped already to do so.
While were on the topic, I am not sure what the man’s name was who was on the Savage Nation yesterday but his opening topic somewhat enraged me. He was trying to figure out why God or what kind of a god would sit back and let this happen. Many callers, from what I heard called and tried to explain it with a Christian perspective. Regardless of thoughts, the thought that I had never came up. How many things are there that God does prevent? We could never possibly know! God has his reasons for what happens, and sometimes were are not to know those reasons. Yes again, it really is a tragic situation but perhaps there was an much more drastic alternative. Perhaps if this disaster would not have happened, this might have been the summer that North Korea would have dropped or sent a nuclear warhead to India killing far more? We could never know.
But seriously, I don’t have an answer for why God let this happen, does any one? Why did God let 9/11 happen?
Speaking of 9/11, and the Rumsfield “slip of the tongue where he said that they “shot down” the plane that went down in Pennsylvania Although President Bush authorized deadly force upon planes that did not comply with the landing order, my problem with this topic is this. First if they did shoot down the plane, why not tell us that day. I would think that the majority of Americans would have understood the rash decision at the time granted what had happened in New York and Washington. If it comes out now, the cover up will be worse than the actual act.
Second, if indeed it was shoot down. It will be a major demoralizer to the families of those who “allegedly” took matters into their own hands. I dunno know what to believe at this point but I guess I would rather not know.
Chrysler is going to be replaced by Toyota as one of the “Big Three” automakers in America. Guess I do not know how I feel about this since Chrysler and Toyota to me are somewhere between a “who-hoo” and “who-cares”. I would not buy either type of vehicle at this point in my life so I guess I am a “who-cares”
However I am still upset over GM’s getting rid of Oldsmobile. Why would they get rid of their oldest pillar and try to replace it with a weak pillar called Saturn. Although I am a die hard GM fan, I would rather have a Chrysler than a Saturn.
