The word union translates to unison or one. In a Union’s case, one voice, many people, one idea, from many people. Sounds great don’t it? Unfortunately it is not, because the Unions of today are much different then the Unions back when Unions were actually needed. Unions today are big propaganda for the Liberals who want to control everyone’s votes and thoughts, and do not have a place in most working areas.
My view of a Union is different that those who might be a member of a Union. To me, I see that Union’s take empowerment away and take away individuality. They also make it so that the people, who don’t want to work, can get as much as the people who work their rear off. Sure back in the industrial revolution, the Union’s were much needed to stand up to unfair wages and work conditions, and don’t get me wrong I feel that Union’s actually do good in this type of situation. However, there is not one place in the United States where working conditions are so unfair that a Union is needed. Companies today, realize that there are civil laws in place that prevent them from underpaying employees and because of the 1930’s Federal Labor Act, no company can practice such ways of business. They have to provide insurance options, they have to take taxes out, and they have to provide Medical leave. These are things that were accomplished by the Government at the first part of the 20th century. Yet we still have people out there that swear conditions are unfair and they need people to think for them. I feel that the people who say that it is unfair want to be babied and provided for. They are the lazy people who cash in on hard working Americans.
Unions now, think for their workers so that they don’t have too. If members of a Union really understood how a Union works, they would probably not want to be in a Union, unless they are the lazy ones who do not care. Unions tell people who to vote for, Unions tell people that they should buy only American goods (Not that I really argue with this because I try to buy American goods at any chance). They take away the liberties of choice for people, and they cash in on that. The Democratic Party loves Unions. Unions have told their members that any Republican is going to steal your money. Unions tell people that if they don’t buy American goods, then their children will starve
I think it is time for Unions to get out, or have a complete 180 degree turn in their direction, because they way their heading now, is in the gutter.
