Another item came off of my things to do before I die list (view it). I saw Weird Al in concert in Des Moines and all I can say is… best concert ever!
Prior to visiting this I was pretty sure that the best concert I had been to up to that point was the Insane Clown Posse concert (yea that was the old me). Naturally being a devout Weird Al fan I had said for years that I wanted to see him in concert. Oddly enough, I had passed up previous opportunities.
A friend at work told me the Thursday (8/23/07) prior to the concert (8/26/07) which left me very little time to think about it. After doing some investigating I saw that Al would be in Davenport at the end of September as well.
With little time at hand, I quickly made a few phone calls to ensure that Heath and Kimberly would commit prior to buying tickets. I actually bought them with a 4 sigma assurance that they would attend.
As luck would have it, we got pretty decent seats for the time allowed, sure we were two rows from the back but there really was not a bad seat in the house as the back row on the floor was less than 26 rows from the stage.
I really had high expectation for Al, and he did not short of delivering and exceed those expectations, hence the rating: Best Concert Ever!
