Dear Chloe,
Happy golden birthday! It is hard to imagine that eight years ago we became parents. It seems like yesterday that I was watching you turn over on a blanket and starting to crawl.
You started second grade at Franklin School, and as I am writing this you are getting ready to go to class and celebrate with your friends and classmates and Ms Minnehan.
Your biggest accomplishment was finally getting the hang of riding your bike. I remember you were so close the prior year. Right at the edge of our driveway, after I had told you how to pedal and not look down. You actually rode it for probably twenty feet before you realized that you were actually doing it. And then, like magic, you were the expert!
How about that Christmas play you went to with your friend Juliana? I know you liked it because you wanted to go to more plays!
How about the trampoline? You and Sam spent a lot of time on it exercising and playing! Both of you love to get cooled down with the leaf blower after I mow!
Remember helping in my “garden” how you helped get rocks, and break up the clods of dirt? It is too bad that it wasn’t as successful as I planned but it was still fun.
You do help quite a bit around the house. I remember over Christmas break you shoveled for me. It wasn’t the greatest job, but I appreciated the effort. You already mentioned you wanted to start mowing, but I said let’s hold off on that one, even though I would love to not have to mow!
This year you and Sam started patch club and you have been doing well with devotions and verses. You can improve upon your timing of this but, it is not bad.
Both of us are very proud of you for learning piano! You enjoy it and are learning more and more each time you go.
The most important thing though, is that we are proud of you for what you have accomplished and what you will accomplish! I know that you are going to continue to excel at whatever comes your way.
Happy Birthday Chloe, we love you very much!
